Hitachi Énergie est à la recherche d’un(e) Ingénieur(e) manufacturier(e) pour joindre son équipe de fabrication à Varennes. Dans ce rôle concret et axé sur le terrain, vous serez responsable de la performance manufacturière, de la stabilité des procédés et des initiatives d’amélioration continue au sein d’un secteur de production désigné. Vous consacrerez environ 50 % de votre temps au plancher de production en collaborant étroitement avec les équipes des opérations, de la qualité, de la maintenance et de l’ingénierie afin de soutenir des processus de fabrication sécuritaires, efficaces et standardisés. Vous jouerez un rôle clé dans la résolution des défis de production, la mise en œuvre d’améliorations manufacturières, l’intégration de nouveaux équipements et le déploiement d’initiatives visant à améliorer la productivité, la qualité et les coûts. Grâce à l’optimisation des procédés fondée sur les données, aux activités d’amélioration continue et à la collaboration interfonctionnelle, votre travail contribuera directement à l’excellence opérationnelle, à la fiabilité manufacturière et à la livraison de solutions énergétiques innovantes favorisant un réseau électrique plus durable et résilient.

Comment vous aurez un impact

• Soutenir la performance manufacturière, la stabilité des procédés et les initiatives d’amélioration continue dans un secteur de fabrication assigné.
• Fournir un soutien technique pratique sur le plancher de production afin de résoudre les problèmes manufacturiers et d’améliorer l’efficacité opérationnelle.
• Développer, maintenir et améliorer les standards de production, les instructions de travail et la documentation liée à l’amélioration des processus.
• Animer des activités structurées de résolution de problèmes, incluant les méthodologies RCCM, Kaizen, RPS et ABRA.
• Soutenir les livrables APQP, incluant l’élaboration et la mise à jour des PFMEA afin d’identifier et de réduire les risques manufacturiers.
• Participer à l’intégration et à la mise en service d’équipements de production ainsi qu’aux activités de FAT/SAT et de validation manufacturière.
• Collaborer avec des équipes multidisciplinaires pour soutenir l’introduction de nouveaux produits, les activités d’industrialisation et la préparation manufacturière.
• Surveiller les indicateurs de performance (KPI), réaliser des études de temps et utiliser les données manufacturières afin d’identifier des opportunités d’amélioration en matière de sécurité, qualité, livraison et coûts.
• Veiller au respect des réglementations, procédures et directives internes et externes applicables.

Votre profil

• Le candidat doit déjà disposer d’une autorisation de travail lui permettant de travailler pour Hitachi Énergie au Canada.
• Baccalauréat en génie électrique, mécanique, industriel, manufacturier ou dans une discipline connexe en ingénierie.
• De 2 à 7 années d’expérience pertinente.
• Une expérience dans un environnement d’ingénierie manufacturière constitue un atout.
• Connaissance des systèmes de contrôle manufacturiers, de l’optimisation manufacturière et des pratiques d’amélioration continue en milieu de fabrication.
• Expérience avec les méthodologies de résolution de problèmes à la source, incluant RCCM, Kaizen et les principes Lean.
• Expérience dans le soutien de projets d’équipements de production ainsi qu’une capacité à interpréter les données manufacturières, les indicateurs de performance et les études de temps.
• Membre de l’Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), un atout.
• Bilinguisme (français et anglais).

The Opportunity

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Varennes. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for manufacturing performance, stability, and continuous improvement within an assigned production area. You will spend approximately 50% of your time on the production floor, partnering closely with operations, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to support safe, efficient, and standardized manufacturing processes. You will play a key role in resolving production challenges, implementing manufacturing improvements, supporting capital equipment integration, and driving productivity, quality, and cost initiatives. Through data-driven manufacturing optimization, continuous improvement activities, and collaboration across functions, your work will directly contribute to operational excellence, manufacturing reliability, and the delivery of innovative energy solutions that support a more sustainable and resilient power grid.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Support manufacturing performance, stability, and continuous improvement initiatives within an assigned manufacturing area.
• Provide hands-on technical support on the production floor to resolve manufacturing issues and improve operational efficiency.
• Develop, maintain, and improve production standards, work instructions, and business improvement documentation.
• Facilitate structured problem-solving activities, including RCCM, Kaizen, RPS, and ABRA methodologies.
• Support APQP deliverables, including PFMEA development and maintenance, to identify and mitigate manufacturing risks.
• Participate in capital equipment integration, commissioning, FAT/SAT activities, and manufacturing validation efforts.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support new product introduction, industrialization activities, and manufacturing readiness.
• Monitor KPIs, conduct time studies, and use manufacturing data to identify opportunities for improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

• Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 2 to 7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing engineering environment is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of manufacturing control systems, manufacturing optimization, and continuous improvement practices in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with root cause problem-solving methodologies, including RCCM, Kaizen, and Lean principles.
• Experience supporting capital equipment projects and the ability to interpret manufacturing data, KPI metrics, and time studies.
• OIQ an asset
• Bilingual (French and English)
