Job Description

The proposed plan below may be adapted according to the company's constraints and requirements.

Year 1: Power Electronics Component Technologies and Their Applications

Support the power electronics components expert in analyzing customer returns. Participate in diagnosing faulty equipment. Consolidate failure conditions with the Quality team. Identify failure modes. Document the analyses and archive the results.

The analyses will be stored in a database. The information collected may then be used for summary studies to identify common issues, premature aging mechanisms, preventive maintenance needs, and potential areas for improvement.

Year 2: Support for Power Converter Design

As part of the R&D team, participate in the design and sizing of a power converter using LTspice and MATLAB simulation tools.

The design work may include:

  • Functional analysis of the requirements and applicable standards
  • Topology and architecture research
  • Component sizing and selection
  • Preparation of technical specifications and supplier sourcing
  • Support for the mechanical design
  • Prototype development
  • Testing and validation

Year 3: Independent Responsibility for a Power Conversion Project/Product

The specific project remains to be defined. The objective will be to independently develop a power converter subsystem by leveraging all the knowledge and skills acquired during the first two years.
