Position Summary

To support the development of a culture of Continuous Improvement throughout the Limerick site through Project leadership, providing Maintenance and facilities infrastructure, mentoring and support and employee involvement. To continually implement improvement projects which will improve profitability, quality and safety.

Principal Responsibilities

• Coach, develop, manage and motivate staff to ensure that employees achieve their full potential
• Manage and improve equipment PM and equipment up time metrics
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and translate them into specific strategies and projects which will deliver improved profitability, quality and safety
• Monitor Plant project performance and take the appropriate steps to deal with project slippages or any barriers to project success
• Provide leadership and support to continuous improvement activities and projects on site to deliver requirements of the business
• Provide evaluation, reporting and communication on Continuous Improvement to all levels in the organisation
• Lead the Facilities Team to effectively identify, prioritise and provide leadership for the delivery of focused improvement initiatives in support of business needs
• Providing Utilities plan and execution for machine installation and manufacturing expansion
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements
• Management of Plant Waste disposal and the contract cleaning team
• Responsibility for Security of Plant and associated systems
• Ensure Quality and EHS policies and procedures are always adhered to
• Full responsibility for Plant Sustainability, Power, Water, Gas usage, etc.
• Understanding of Finance - Profit and loss and balance sheet, managing departmental budget
• Any other duties that may be required from time to time

Education / Experience Requirements

• Relevant 3rd level degree
• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Relevant background in lean initiatives & improvements
• Planning and Organisation skills – Project and programme oversight, sponsorship and management
• Understanding of Lean Principles
• Ability to drive projects to completion
