Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)
• Identifies environmental, health, and safety risks.
• Develops procedures for environment, health, and safety for all the company areas.
• Leads, participates, and follows up on all the incidents investigations related to any environmental impact (root cause analysis) and propose corrective actions.
• Ensures the company EHS systems are in accordance with the corporative guidelines, the implementation, update, review, and audits.
• Performs Internal and external safety audits.
• Participates in the investigation of accidents/incidents.
• Investigates and controls COVID cases reported on site.
• Ensures continuous improvement in the efforts focused on the site’s safety culture.
• Promotes and implements campaigns focused on occupational health.
• Investigates and reviews that the chemical materials do not have a potential impact on employee’s health.
• Evaluates suppliers related with services, safety, or environment.
• Focus on machine protection and safety devices to minimize/eliminate potential injuries through a risk evaluation.
• Appropriate capacitation for associates in EHS themes.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (Industrial, Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical).
Two years of related experience is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Understanding of basic statistical tools.
Skills to solve problems and to perform multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. Collaborates efficiently with internal and external main associates.
Knowledge of environment legislation and occupational health and safety such as Protección Civil, SEMARNAT, PROFEPA, PROAES STPS, CEDES.
Proficient in technology and equipment used for EHS inspections.
Experience in manufacturing industry.
Communication and teamwork skills.
Language Skills: Elementary
