What you will do:
Responsible of maintaining updated information needed to assemble Compressors & VSD’s panels. Keep adherence to PDP requirements while introduce new products and guarantee Engineering Changes (EC) are proper implemented at Monterrey Compressor Plant. Leading NPI implementations on plant, coordinating the rest of the team providing direction.
How you will do it:
Responsible of new products introduction and continuous product improvement.
Generates cost reduction ideas (VA/VE) developing actions to achieve savings goals.
Assure information to build compressor &/or VSD’s is at their latest revision level maintaining constant communication with Engineering Design Centers
Manage & provide direction on major Eng projects (savings/NPI/improvement)
Provide technical support to the productive areas. Facilitate the comprehension of all the information available to build compressors
Be proficient at preparing, checking, and coordinating the release of documentation to support compressor assembly processes
Provide feedback to design engineering to improve the compressors designs (either current designs and NPI compressors)
Maintain routines to ensure BOM’s are reflecting what is used in lines Vs SAP.
Participate actively on the Plant initiatives (GMOC, LPA, Safety Subcommittees, etc.)
Analyze possible substitutions of components in order to approve a deviation.
Participate in Risk Assessments
Participate in EHS suggestions program
Participate in EHS observations program
REQUIREMENTS:
Mechanical Engineering Bachelor’s degree.
Experience required a minimum of five years of progressive experience in Manufacturing or HVAC industry, Manufacture Processes, and Projects Administration
Has demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise influence without authority.
Ability to work under constrained time scales and demanding work loads.
