JOB PURPOSE
Based on the objectives set by his or her superiors, the application engineer manages and monitors the projects within his or her scope.
He/she is the technical reference for his/her scope.SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES
Complex business management
- Handle customer relations from the moment an order is placed (contractual exchanges, project follow-up, commercial relations, etc.)
- Ensure the supply of materials and components required for the project realization
- Select external service providers (deadlines, prices, technical feasibility, etc.), in collaboration with stakeholders (sales teams, purchasing, etc.)
- Participate in and contribute to the launch of the project (meetings, etc.)
- Coordinate and monitor work (work orders, resources, deadlines, compliance, etc.) for projects within its scope
- Write application visit reports to ensure proper installation of hardware before handover to service teams
Project management
- Define, monitor and update indicators for projects within its scope (cost tracking, profitability, areas for improvement, etc.) and implement corrective actions where necessary, in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Produce mechanical and electrical drawings (oils, etc.) for its customers perimeter in order to ensure document delivery in accordance with specifications
- Ensure project compliance and turnaround times
- Guarantee application and installation specifications to customers
- Organize and carry out installation audits at customers within its scope and implement corrective actions where necessary
- Be a privileged technical contact for internal and external stakeholders on its projects
- Provide technical support to internal stakeholders
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal and external business tools

- Ensures the profitability of projects within its scope (margins, etc.)
- Ensures compliance with regulations and business procedures
- Ensures the completion of manufacturer audits within its scope

PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE
DIPLOMA(S) AND/OR EXPERIENCE(S)
5 years' higher education in industrial engineering and/or significant experience preferred
