Job

Summary
The Infusion Nurse (RN) is responsible for administering intravenous therapies, monitoring patients throughout infusion treatments, and ensuring accurate documentation within the EMR system. This role requires strong clinical judgment, multitasking ability, and a patient-centered approach to care.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate IV access and administer infusion therapies per provider orders
- Monitor patients before, during, and after infusion therapy
- Accurately document medications, treatments, and patient responses in EMR
- Assess patient condition and respond to adverse reactions
- Manage multiple infusion patients simultaneously
- Administer IM and subcutaneous injections
- Prepare infusion equipment and supplies
- Provide patient education regarding treatments and medications
- Respond to patient calls and emails regarding clinical concerns
- Coordinate with physicians to ensure accurate and compliant patient records
- Assist with prescription refills as appropriate
- Support clinic operations and assist team members as needed
- Participate in clinical research activities when applicable

QualificationsBasic

Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferred in:
- - Medical oncology
- - Biologics
- - Monoclonal antibody therapies
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs (with assistance for patient care)
- Ability to lift 10 lbs routinely
- Prolonged standing, walking, and sitting
- Exposure to clinical hazards including bloodborne pathogens and sharps
Work Schedule & Environment
- Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Monday–Friday, day shift
- Clinical/infusion center setting
