The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for all sides of care of a patient. They diagnose, educate, and treat patients to ensure that they have the best possible care. A few of the main duties of the NP are performing diagnostic tests and exams, documenting patient's medical history, educating patients, and referring patients to other specialists. They also administer vaccines and other treatments. NPs work in close coordination with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, medical assistants, and practice or clinic managers, to deliver the highest possible quality of care to patients.
Key Responsibilities
·Establish and maintain strong community relationships with Home Health organizations, Independent Living Facilities and Senior Living Communities
·Conduct outreach with other providers/specialists as directed
·Promote community education
·Speaks publicly at events regarding MTC and dementia as deemed necessary
Required Knowledge and Skills
Education/Licensure/Technical Requirements.
·NP certification through either AANP or ANCC
·Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing
