Infrastructure Maintenance Operative (Sizewell C)

The Infrastructure Maintenance Operative is responsible for carrying out routine, preventative and reactive maintenance activities across the Sizewell C project site.
Working as part of a small civil engineering team, the postholder will contribute to the safe maintenance of roads, drainage systems, hardstanding areas, traffic management infrastructure and environmental assets while supporting the commitment to the Sizewell C Zero Harm culture, operational excellence and environmental stewardship while delivering high-quality maintenance services across the site.
Maintenance Operations:
Undertake routine and reactive infrastructure maintenance works.
Carry out minor civils activities including:
Groundworks
Drainage maintenance and repairs
kerbing works
Concreting
Pothole repairs
asphalt repairs and reinstatement work
Assist with traffic management activities where required.
Operate equipment and tools safely and effectively.
Complete work activities in accordance with specifications, procedures, and programme requirements
Essential Qualifications and Training
• Operative CSCS Health & Safety Test.
• CSCS Operative Card.
• Manual Handling Awareness.
• HWM Sizewell Internal Competency Assessment.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Qualifications:
• Traffic Management qualifications.
• Plant and equipment operation certifications.
• First Aid qualification.
• Winter maintenance experience.
Experience
• Knowledge of traffic management principles and practices.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
