ABOUT THE POSITION

Technology is the backbone of how Columbia delivers to our customers and partners worldwide. The Digital Technology (CDT) organization powers a complex hybrid ecosystem that supports four global brands, a dynamic supply chain, and hundreds of retail locations across the world.

We’re seeking an Infrastructure & Operations Engineering Delivery Manager to lead a team of infrastructure and network Engineers in our Global Capabilities Center in India. This role will work closely with US-based Infrastructure leadership on setting and implementing infrastructure strategy as well as ensuring those services are performing optimally. The GCC Compute and Network engineering team is responsible for the availability, performance, and modernization of Columbia’s global infrastructure. This includes data centers, distribution centers, and remote offices, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and hybrid cloud services.

The ideal candidate is a proven people manager and data driven operational leader with deep knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, strong collaboration with peer leaders, and a track record of driving reliability, automation, and service excellence.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Leadership & Strategy

• Collaborate with peer leaders to orchestrate a combined global strategy and a plan to execute the plan.

• Lead and develop a team of engineers and analysts responsible for infrastructure operations, monitoring, and service delivery and reliability.
• Collaborate on defining the roadmap for infrastructure and network modernization, automation, and operational resilience.
• Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence, leveraging data and established metrics.
• Partner with senior IT and business stakeholders to align infrastructure strategy with corporate objectives and digital transformation goals.

Operations & Service Management

• In collaboration with US-based infrastructure team, oversee the reliability, performance, and lifecycle of on-premises and hybrid infrastructure—including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and backup systems, network, wireless, firewall, M365 and Exchange.
• Ensure that infrastructure monitoring, incident response, change control, and problem management processes are understood, implemented and consistently followed.
• Ensure adherence to ITIL-based operational frameworks and drive continual service improvement.

• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing efforts, ensuring infrastructure resiliency and business continuity of readiness across all critical services.
• Champion automation, configuration management, and repeatable processes to reduce risk and manual effort.

• Ensure adherence to and enforcement of Information Security and other regulatory controls, standards and policies.
• Understand license models and provide input into the budgeting cycles.

Hybrid Cloud & Modernization

• Ensure integration of hybrid environments that bridge on-premises data centers with Microsoft Azure and other cloud platforms.
• Assist in implementation of hybrid connectivity and ensure secure, high-performance interoperability between on-premises and cloud resources.
• Partner with Cloud Engineering and Information Security teams to align governance, identity, and compliance frameworks.
• Support migration of legacy workloads to modern platforms while maintaining operational stability.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Work with a global intra-team of engineers and cross-functionally with other Columbia Digital Teams to deliver reliable and cost-effective solutions.
• Communicate metrics, performance trends, and risks clearly to leadership and business partners.
• Serve as the escalation point for critical infrastructure incidents, ensuring transparent communication and rapid resolution, including On Call rotations

YOU HAVE

• 5+ years in a management or team-lead role overseeing technical
• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure or systems engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred). operations teams.
• Proven experience managing teams that support enterprise infrastructure: virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), Windows Server OS, storage, compute, and backup/recovery platforms, network, wireless, firewalls, M365 and Exchange.
• Hands-on experience operating hybrid environments integrating on-premises, SaaS integrations, and Azure cloud deployments.
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure monitoring, incident management, automation tools, and ITSM processes.
• Strong understanding of disaster recovery planning, testing, and operational governance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and vendor management skills.

Preferred:
• Experience with Globally dispersed Infrastructures

• Experience with Jira and Confluence and breaking work down with the engineers

• Experience with ITIL, Jira Service Management or similar ITSM frameworks.
• Exposure to AIOps, observability, or automation platforms.
• Background managing outsourced or global service delivery teams.
