Job Title Jamf and MacBook Support Specialist Department
IT Grade M2- M3 Location

  1. Position Purpose


Managing jamf console and handling L2 and L3 issues for MacBook users, Driving end-to-end new solutions from evaluation and deployment for the bank (Initiate Propose, Plan, Deploy and Support).

  • Technical Skills.
    • Jamf application Proficiency and Troubleshoot and resolve issues with company -issued Mac computers and mobile devices.
    • Image and deploy end-user computing equipment to users.
    • Install approved software on computers based on approved tickets in the queue. Support in Apple Mail, Microsoft Office 365 and Third party mail clients configuration.
    • Support for Software/App/Tools installation, Diagnosis, Troubleshooting etc..
    • Apple services support like iOS syncing with iTunes, Apple Music Sync, iCloud Setup, Creating and managing Apple ID’s.
    • New configuration and Technical support for Airport Express, Airport Extreme, Time Capsules, Apple TVs, Apple Screen etc..
    • Coordination at Apple stores for service / Troubleshooting of device hardware issues.

  • Management
    • Manage and Interact with customer stakeholder teams to provide capacity planning and analysis to ensure system can meet customer performance requirements.
    • Perform Change Management & Release Management as per the defined processes and frameworks.
    • Manage day-to-day operations such as applying security patches/fixes, anti-virus updates as released by software manufacturers and vendors.
    • Collaborate in assessing current and expected Windows infrastructure needs, configuration, maintenance, optimization and documentation of the infrastructure.
    • Follow and apply configuration and security standards and policies within a defined Change Management process.
    • Must be equipped to handle the solution from requirements to production roll out including any kind of user migration.
    • Create and update technical documentation of operating procedures as needed.
    • Support IT goals and objectives including measures and projects.
    • Ensure that system improvements and changes are implemented correctly and monitor all effects of the modifications.

  • Work Exposure:
    • Serve as a technical expert for Tier 1/2 support groups.
    • Candidate must have 6-10 years of experience in Desktop operation support.
  • Monitor and maintain the bank's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure upgrades and enhancements to improve performance and security.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of applications and systems.
  • Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery tests to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance our infrastructure.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of infrastructure configurations and changes.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders, ensuring a smooth user experience.
  • Conduct performance analysis and optimization, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in infrastructure management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, preferably in a banking or financial institution.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
  • Hands-on experience with server administration, virtualization, and cloud computing technologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and principles is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
