What You Will Do

• Design, build, and maintain features within a secure web application for managing health insurance and billing matters.
• Contribute to AI-assisted tooling that aids advocates in interpreting benefits and detecting billing discrepancies.
• Ensure the security and integrity of sensitive health insurance data stored and transmitted through the platform.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and advocacy teams to translate complex healthcare workflows into user-friendly software.
• Participate in architectural decisions that enhance platform scalability and reliability.
• Write clean, testable code and foster a culture of technical excellence.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 5+ years of experience managing and scaling cloud infrastructure, preferably with AWS.
• Strong ownership of systems such as compute, networking, CI/CD, and observability.
• Hands-on experience with tools like ECS, RDS, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code solutions (Pulumi or Terraform).
• Proven ability to operate independently in a remote-first environment and work effectively in fast-paced or early-stage companies.
• Strong instinct for security best practices when working with sensitive user data.

Preferred

• Experience in health tech, insurtech, or regulated industries where data privacy is critical.
• Familiarity with healthcare data formats or billing workflows, such as EOBs and claims processing.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this role ranges from $180K to $230K, offering a competitive compensation package in a dynamic and impactful work environment.
