Build a Stable, Scalable Hybrid Workplace Platform
Are you curious about platform engineering, automation, and helping deliver stable, predictable infrastructure? We’re looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to support the ongoing operation and improvement of our hybrid compute and End‑User Computing (EUC) platform, spanning on‑prem virtualization and Azure services like AVD.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow their technical depth in virtualization, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), automation, and modern platform engineering practices.
Your Mission
As a Infrastructure Engineer, you will support the virtualization and EUC platform, including on‑prem virtualization environments and integrations with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and FSLogix.
You’ll help maintain standardized configurations, assist with automation tasks, follow established platform patterns, and contribute to smooth day‑to‑day operations. By learning and applying best practices, you help ensure the platform remains stable, secure, and consistent as the business evolves.
You will collaborate closely with senior engineers, contributing to documentation, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvements—enabling teams across the organization to work efficiently without unnecessary manual effort.
What You’ll Do
Support the day‑to‑day operation of hybrid compute and EUC platforms.
Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and FSLogix configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Help maintain and update golden images and standardized VM templates.
Contribute to Infrastructure as Code efforts using Terraform and Packer under guidance.
Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
Follow automation‑first and self‑service principles, helping reduce manual work where possible.
Document processes, update runbooks, and participate in continuous improvement activities.
What You Bring
Foundational knowledge of on‑prem virtualization (Hyper‑V / Azure Local; VMware exposure is a plus).
Familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop and FSLogix, or a strong willingness to learn them.
Knowledge of structuring work in tools like Jira and Confluence.
An interest in automation, Infrastructure as Code, and platform engineering practices.
Understanding of or willingness to learn security/governance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIS2, GDPR).
Ability to follow established designs and standards, with a mindset focused on consistency and simplification.
Curiosity, reliability, and a desire to grow into more advanced platform responsibilities.
Bonus Points For
Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Python).
Understanding of zero‑trust principles or secure DevOps concepts.
Experience with monitoring tools Azure Monitor or Datadog.
Interest in knowledge sharing, or team collaboration.
