Job Title Infrastructure Engineer
Contract type Permanent contractor
Contract hours Full-time

Salary: Euro 60k-70k + stock options
Adzuna is a job search engine that lists every job, everywhere. From our launch in the UK in 2011, we now have tens of millions of visitors a month and are busy conquering the world from our HQ in West London alongside our remote teams - helping millions of people find better, more fulfilling jobs. We already have a suite of AI-powered tools (such as ValueMyCV, Prepper and ApplyIQ) built by our talented team and their passion for building new AI-powered tech for job seekers. We're a commercially minded team that moves fast, takes ownership and loves what we do.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially-minded, high-impact Infrastructure Engineer to join our fast-moving team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for architecting and managing our containerized environments, focusing on Kubernetes orchestration and cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with our engineering teams to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure deployment pipelines, driving the transition towards a modern, container-first infrastructure.
We're building a container-first platform on AWS EKS, and we're still running an older estate on EC2 instances (Perl services and Chef-managed machine images). Both are managed with Terraform. Expect roughly one third of your time on the Kubernetes platform and two thirds on migrating services off the older estate. In your first year, that means moving the job ingestion and search services onto Kubernetes and switching off the last Chef-managed machine images. If you find that kind of archaeology satisfying, you'll enjoy this role a lot more than someone who only wants greenfield.
While we look out for all of these skills, we do not expect experience in all of them. We value a strong foundation in core programming principles and a genuine eagerness to learn.
