Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Hyderabad / Kolkata, India Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days per week in office

About the Role

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll contribute to shaping the core infrastructure that powers a global workforce — building scalable, resilient, and secure services that enable the business to move faster. With an automation-first mindset and a focus on AI-driven operations, you'll help reduce toil and technical debt while strengthening business continuity through backup and disaster recovery strategy. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys elevating team capability through guidance and innovation.

Your Role Responsibilities – Here's What You'll Do

• Design, build, and implement robust infrastructure solutions aligned with business needs, security best practices, and organizational standards
• Identify, prioritize, and implement automation for resource deployment, compute and storage allocation, and optimize the delivery of key infrastructure services
• Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions; participate in testing and execution of recovery plans to ensure business continuity
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues and outages; perform root-cause and post-mortem analyses, leveraging AI and automation to drive process improvements and efficiency
• Document the design, operation, procedures, and troubleshooting of implemented solutions; compose training materials and conduct training sessions with stakeholders
• Perform regular process reviews and provide guidance for audits of server infrastructure to validate compliance with enterprise security policies and system hardening standards

Role Essentials – What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of relevant experience in information technology
• Experience with Hypervisor and Virtualization Platforms
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux server operating systems
• Task automation and scripting experience with PowerShell and/or Ansible
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and securing enterprise-level cloud environments in Azure and AWS

What We'd Like to See – Preferred Skills

• Experience as a Systems Engineer or Architect
• Fundamental understanding of networking principles
• Experience with AI-driven operations and automation strategies to reduce technical debt
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a level 3 escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents
• Experience mentoring and training team members on infrastructure best practices and operational standards

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Experience as a Systems Administrator
• Experience working with public cloud solutions
• Experience working with virtualization technologies
• Experience working with server operating systems
• Good oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
• Good data gathering, interviewing, and analytical/problem solving skills
• Good customer service orientation
• Good interpersonal skills; able to maintain solid rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with those outside of department
• Good attention to detail
• Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Experience working with Citrix, Netapp, and Linux
• Microsoft Windows or MacOS and Microsoft Office proficient
• Good knowledge of systems administration
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows network environments
• Up to 5% travel time required
