Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Cheltenham

Salary: Negotiable

Hybrid, 2-3 days per week onsite

This is a fantastic opportunity to join my client's journey to elevate cybersecurity innovation in the UK. As they expand rapidly, they are seeking a dynamic leader to spearhead their IT and infrastructure evolution from startup to medium-sized excellence.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Directly engaged in designing, establishing, and upkeeping multiple on-premises networks air-gapped and Internet-connected to facilitate technical research endeavors.
• Taking a proactive stance by recognizing and overseeing IT security risks. Communicating potential areas of apprehension to the Operations Director and proposing actionable solutions.
• Collaborating with the other teams in the business to ensure our IT infrastructure remains fit for purpose.
• Overseeing the day-to-day tasking of the IT department to identify and remove any technical blockers, and adjust priorities according to business needs.

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar infrastructure role with a good knowledge of Windows and Linux.
• Prior use of Virtualisation software, including use on servers and on-premises networks
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, and automation/orchestration, such as provisioning and configuring VMs and managing drift. Common infrastructure tools and languages eg. Docker, Python
• Experience configuring cloud-based technologies e.g. O365 and AWS.
• Experience implementing and configuring MDM, such as Intune.
