The Opportunity

Accenture is looking to recruit Digital Engineering practitioners within our Capital Projects and Infrastructure team in the UK with experience of Building Information Modelling ( BIM) delivery The consultant will develop BIM and Virtual Design and Construction strategies for clients and manage their implementation on greenfield and brownfield construction and engineering programmes. This includes working with colleagues across the Industry X practice to consider the full lifecycle of their assets. In Industry X, we digitize, optimize and transform our clients’ traditional ways of delivering throughout the lifecycle.

In this role you will:

• Lead digital transformation of Capital Projects, including supporting clients with BIM strategy, preparing BIM Guidelines, and reviewing BIM Execution Plans.

• Oversee end‑to‑end BIM delivery, ensuring coordinated 3D design, smooth model handover to Construction teams, adherence to client BIM standards, and development of the final as‑built model.

• Design and deliver future ways of working, shaping operating models, business processes, and supporting technologies in collaboration with strategists, process owners, and domain experts.

• Build strong, trust‑based relationships, providing and receiving coaching, contributing to practice development, and sharing points of view on industry trends and imperatives for change.

• Drive innovation and business growth, supporting sales cycles (solution shaping, proposals), leading client workshops, and applying human‑centred methods to solve problems and spark co‑creation.

Job Qualifications

The Person

The successful candidate will have good knowledge in one or more core Capital Projects & Infrastructure industries (listed below). They will apply BIM technologies combined with people, process, and data to implement improvement programmes / projects within our target industries.

Target industries are Asset- and Energy-intensive industries including:

• Energy, Utilities (water, power, nuclear), Chemicals

• Infrastructure and Networks including Road & Rail, Telecoms, Construction Services, Data Centres

Candidates should be willing to travel to domestic and international locations.

We are looking for experience across a selection of the following skills:

• Experience of successful delivery of complex and ambitious projects from a professional programme & project management (client facing) perspective to time, cost, and quality objectives.

• Experience managing the BIM/ Virtual Design and Construction process on commercial or institutional projects.

• Proficiency in industry standard BIM applications, such as Autodesk Construction Cloud Suite (ACC), Navisworks and CDE Solutions.

• Work effectively as a supportive team member or a domain expert and have the ability to lead delivery teams.

Set yourself apart if you can demonstrate some of the areas below:

• Experience managing data center projects or other complex facilities is a plus.

• An engineering or science subject area or possess suitable experience in lieu of qualification.

• Strong, validated capability in successful project, programme or portfolio management of complex schemes, especially during their development phase.

• Developing the argument, solution architecture, and implementation roadmap for clients’ transformation journeys.

• Has worked in consulting team delivery and depending on experience team leading roles with a track record of managing and delivering projects successfully on time and on budget.

• Has sales support experience with new clients or growing existing clients with experience in business development support, request for proposal response’s and consulting services sales.

• Experiencing of large scale delivery and organizational change management associated with it.

• Good client contacts and industry network is highly desirable.
