Digital, EUC (End User Computing) - SQM Infra Test Delivery Lead – (Offshore-FTE) NT India

Reports To: SQM Offshore Manager

Digital, EUC, (End User Computing ) Infra Test Delivery Lead (Off Shore - FTE) has unique responsibilities to manage the quality of the Digital Services Infrastructure, Infra EOL( End of Life)/App growth & End User Computing projects and changes, such as patching, upgrades, integrations, certifications and emergency fix.

  • Responsible for Infrastructure Test Strategy for Infra Changes and Projects related to EUC
  • The lead is responsible for general project management elements like planning, execution, monitoring, testing, and project closure to embed quality delivery for infrastructure Engineering & Operations projects
  • Primary expectation is manage program demand intake, quality delivery, test planning, schedules, risks and issues, incident analysis.
  • Accountable to deliver estimate efforts, track financials, hold monthly meetings with Infra leadership and address failed changes incidents and identify do better opportunities.
  • Accountable to drive quality efficiencies and effectiveness using automated solutions for Digital Services, & End User Computing changes Example (GPO), testing life cycle and change process optimization

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and expertise within the infrastructure field to deliver quality programs and projects in-house and offshore for below areas:
    • Digital Services Messaging: Email System Upgrades, communication, collaboration tools, & Office Products ( More details in the table)
    • Digital Services End User Computing: Desktop Operating System, Browser Upgrades/Patching (Chrome, Edge on Chromium), VDI, Citrix
    • Application Growth Lifecycle/End of Life: Application dependent Infrastructure & Firmware EOL (End Of Life).
  • Responsible for defining Infra Test Delivery test strategy, approach test plan and execution for change requests, Post PROD.
  • Be accountable for the test coordination and mentor Infra Test Delivery Team and participate in interviews, induction, and training.
  • Ensuring that the application teams adhere to the principles, guidelines and best practices of the Infra Test Delivery strategy as defined.
  • Build and maintain quality standards and ensure application teams deliver quality testing to validate infra changes by utilizing technical automated test assets and discipline.
  • Lead and manage Infra Test Delivery activities such as understanding infra change impacts, prep test plans, perform test execution, deliver test results metrics to key stakeholders.
  • Accountable for performing root cause analysis for continuous change quality improvement to drive production stability in the infrastructure test delivery programs.
  • Be an escalation point for project and change deliver, issue Including Major incidents and risk management and stakeholder communications.
  • Serve as a team lead and plan required talent, capacity and growth to build a robust motivated delivery team.

Required Knowledge

  • Familiar with Automated Testing Types, Environments, Frameworks (Linear,Modular,Data-Driven..etc)
  • Solid understanding and some experience in various testing discipline concepts: functional testing, regression testing, smoke testing, non-functional requirement testing, and performance testing
  • Test lifecycle experience in delivering high quality infrastructure changes with minimal impacts to applications (test planning, test scenario build, test execution, defect/issue management and test health metrics and status reporting)
  • Test management experience including soliciting requirements, producing test strategy, effort estimation and test schedules.
  • Good understanding of Computer Systems Architecture and Data Center Services and Operations.
  • Infrastructure Administration, Automation Concepts, Diagnostics and Troubleshooting.
  • COTS Products LifeCycle, Patching, Upgrades and Deployment into Environments (Dev/Test/UAT/Prod).
  • Concepts and Tools of Infrastructure Servers Virtualization, Middleware (Web Servers) ,and Network LAN/WAN , Remote VPN Connectivity like Zscaler and Azure.
  • Monitoring, Alerting, and Scheduling Tools and Services (Control-M,DYNATRACE,Splunk,Grafana..etc).
  • Service Levels Agreements (SLAs),Service Levels Objectives (SLOs),Service Level Indicators(SLIs).
  • ITIL Service Management Concepts and Tools HP, ServiceNow(Incident, Problem, Change, Release, CMDB…etc.)
  • Familiarity of Agile Methodology Scrum/Kanban and project management tools like Azure
  • Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Service Now, ADO

Personal Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or related field and equivalent experience.
  • Related Certifications in areas of Computer Infrastructure, Testing, and Project Management.
  • Provide leadership, build and maintaining relationships with Stakeholders.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and tasks under pressure.
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset and inquisitive mind sets
  • Ability to handle conflict effectively.
  • Able to communicate with all levels of management and peers within the organization, written and verbal.
  • Flexible with the ability to work on weekends and under pressure
  • Proactive, strong-minded, quick thinker and assertive.
