Job Description

As a Team lead, you will oversee a team of personnel focused on technical issues, including solutioning, automating, and resolving escalated service issues. In addition to hiring and training staff and delegating work assignments, team leads may also collaborate with colleagues to identify and troubleshoot technical issues. They often evaluate their team's work processes and best practices and implement changes to streamline operations.

Responsibilities may include creating service goals for their team; ensuring current training is updated and aligned with the implementation of improvement initiatives. Other tasks may include developing troubleshooting programs and supervising system modifications.

Responsibilities

  • Leads with company values and delivers high-quality value to clients.
  • Proactively assists the team in resolving complex tickets to meet customer expectations.
  • Point of technical escalation for L3 to resolve complex issues for the team and clients.
  • Quickly addresses technical roadblocks that negatively impact the team from completing assignments on time.
  • Recommends & manages training plans and potentially leads training sessions.
  • Recommends and implements system improvements to maximize overall system performance and reliability.
  • Recommends and implements process improvements to maximize team efficiencies.
  • Partners with client teams to support complex system discussions, enhancements, new products, and tools.
  • Strong ability to perform deep technical root cause analysis.
  • Serves as a coach and advisor to the technical team in the respective area.
  • May be required to lead complex system initiatives or small internal projects.
  • Recommends to management challenging assignments for team members to develop and grow, increasing their expertise and knowledge.
  • Recommends improvements in technical documentation.
  • Reviews, enforcing & reporting the metrics for the team

Skills and Experience

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or a related field, including experience in a technical leadership role.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Proven experience managing and supporting enterprise infrastructure environments, including servers, networking, cloud platforms, and security technologies.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS environments.

  • Strong understanding of networking, server technologies, cloud infrastructure, and infrastructure security.

  • Experience leading technical teams, providing guidance, mentoring team members, and supporting staff and clients.

  • Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to resolve complex infrastructure issues.

  • Experience working with ITIL practices, including incident and change management.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Highly adaptable and able to learn and support new technologies.

  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills, with a customer-focused approach.

  • Willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation.

Nice to Have

  • Azure Administrator certification or higher.

  • AWS Solutions Architect or AWS SysOps Administrator certification.

  • Azure Network Engineer certification.

  • AWS Advanced Networking – Specialty certification.

  • Azure Security Engineer certification.

  • AWS Security – Specialty certification.

  • Experience working in a managed services or enterprise IT environment.

Language Skills

  • English B2+ required.
