Your Role

Works with the Systems team to manage and maintain the Server infrastructure on premise and on a Multi Cloud environment. Design and Implement latest technologies and emerging technologies.

Your Impact

We are looking for an experienced Systems Manager to join our IT Infrastructure and Sustained Engineering organization. This individual will be responsible for managing a team of systems engineers who provides PTC with Systems Administration and systems application support for vSphere, Windows, Unix and Linux environments.

Your Team

Information systems manager is responsible for the secure and effective operation of all computer systems, related applications, hardware and software that is used within the corporate enterprise

Your Day-to-Day

Manage a team of staff including programmers, analysts and support specialists responsible for the following:

  • Evaluating the functionality of systems
  • Ensuring software licensing laws are followed
  • Consulting computer users to ascertain needs and to ensure that facilities meet user or project requirements
  • Participate in selecting and purchasing appropriate hardware and software solutions
  • Managing IT budgets
  • Implementing and managing system security or integrity and backup procedures
  • Hardware and software life cycle management
  • Manage incident and request ticket queue to define SLA’s
  • Testing and modification systems to ensure that that they operate reliably
  • Keeping up to date with new technology
  • Designing maintenance procedures and putting them into operation

Must-Have Skills

  • Management and Leadership Skills:
    • Strong organizational, written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Strong analytical and problems solving skills
    • Fimiliar with SOX requirements and reporting
  • Technical Skills
    • VMware Administration – Experience with ESXi 5.x or 6.x in clustered , vCloud Director or vRealize Automation, vCenter Operations Manager
    • Windows Administration – Experience with server deployment, performance tuning, troubleshooting, PowerShell scripting
    • Hands on experience on Azure , AWS, Google Cloud and OCI.
    • Deployment and deep understanding of Storage and back up technologies.
    • Experience in DR activities along with Implementation and Architecture.
    • UNIX Administration – Experience with Linux, Solaris or AIX deployment. Performance tuning, troubleshooting, BASH or similar language scripting
    • Experience with storage technology such as volume management, RAID, NAS, and SAN
    • Experience with network layer 2 and layer 3 concepts and server network interface configuration

Preferred Experience:

  • 7 or more years of technical team management experience
  • 10 or more years of experience administering Windows, Unix and Linux Environments
  • 8 or more years of experience administering Virtulization and Cloud environments

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.Tech , BE preferably in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems; or comparable work experience
