Anticipated Vacancy

The Office of the State Courts Administrator, Office of Information Technology, is seeking an IT Project Manager to support the administration and ongoing operations of the Judicial Inquiry System (JIS). This position is critical in ensuring system reliability, user satisfaction, and compliance with state and federal requirements.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day administrative and technical support for the JIS; providing user support to the State Courts System staff, including account management, troubleshooting, and resolving issues; and assisting with system design, testing, and implementation of enhancements and updates.

The primary duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative and technical support for JIS, such as diagnosing and defining problems, addressing user questions and issues, managing accounts, and monitoring servers and web service connections.
  • Coordinate with JIS vendor and external organizations to ensure compliance with project deliverables, support, and enhancements.
  • Assists in developing and managing contracts, policies, manuals, forms, and system design documents.
  • Review and assist with policies, procedures, and audits related to JIS administration.
  • Provide on-call support during nights and weekends for the JIS user base by troubleshooting issues, addressing user questions, monitoring servers and system processes, and overseeing web service connections.

Note: After completing the required training, this position may be eligible for up to two telework days in accordance with the Office of the State Courts Administrator policy.

Education and Training Guidelines

Education: Refers to job specific training and education that is recommended for entry into the position. Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year for-year basis.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, finance, information technology, or a closely related field.

Experience: Refers to the amount of related work experience that is recommended for entry into the position that would result in reasonable expectation that the person can perform the required tasks. Additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis, excluding supervisory experience.

Two years of related work experience.

Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with the Judicial Inquiry System (JIS).
