Symons Clark Logistics is a 150 year old, family owned, Port Adelaide based transport and logistics company. Our experience brings with it premium wharf cartage and container transport services, with a focus on providing customers with complete logistics solutions including warehousing, container pack/unpack, distribution, over-dimensional, heavy haulage, project logistics and Australia wide bulk haulage.

Symons Clark Logistics is looking for an experienced IT Manager to oversee and drive our technology infrastructure and systems. The role involves leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of IT solutions that support daily operations, improve efficiency, strengthen data security, and align with the company’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute an IT strategy aligned with business goals and operational needs.
• Identify and implement technology solutions that improve efficiency and support growth.
• Oversee and optimise IT systems, including transport, warehouse, and enterprise platforms.
• Ensure reliability, performance, and availability of infrastructure (networks, servers, cloud, devices).
• Lead IT projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to business requirements.
• Implement and manage cybersecurity measures, compliance, and risk mitigation activities.
• Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimise disruptions.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team, including performance, hiring, and development.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and IT budgeting to ensure value for money.
• Drive digital transformation and continuous improvement, including modernising systems and supporting data-driven decision-making.

About You:

• Proven experience in an IT Manager or senior IT leadership role, ideally within transport, logistics, or a related industry.
• Strong technical expertise across IT infrastructure, cloud services, networking, and enterprise systems.
• Demonstrated experience managing cybersecurity, risk, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
