Information Technology - Enterprise Administrator

The IT Enterprise Administrator provides administration, support, configuration, and optimization for enterprise software platforms used across SMC's operations.
This role works closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and end users to ensure enterprise systems remain available, secure, efficient, and aligned with business needs.
The position supports platform implementations, integrations, automation, system enhancements, and ongoing operational excellence.

Enterprise Administrator role sits between a traditional System Administrator and a Business Systems Analyst,
combining platform administration, workflow automation, configuration, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Platform Administration
• Perform day-to-day administration of enterprise applications and platforms.
• Manage approved configuration changes and system enhancements.
• Monitor platform health, availability, and performance.
• Support platform governance and administration standards.
Solution Implementation & Configuration
• Participate in platform implementation activities including:
◦ Requirements gathering
◦ Solution design
◦ Configuration
◦ Testing
◦ Integrations
◦ Deployment support
• Assist in evaluating and implementing new platform capabilities.
Workflow Automation & Process Improvement
• Develop and maintain system integrations.
• Build automated workflows and business process solutions.
• Recommend and implement process improvements.
• Optimize service delivery and customer experience.
System Configuration & Development
• Configure:
◦ Business Rules
◦ Notifications
◦ Client Scripts
◦ Access Control Lists (ACLs)
◦ User Interface Policies

◦ Forms and Workflows
• Support advanced scripting and automation where appropriate.
Business & Stakeholder Support
• Partner with product owners, business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Build solutions that support operational and business objectives.
• Provide recommendations for system optimization and future enhancements.
Documentation & Training
• Create and maintain:
◦ Functional requirements
◦ Process documentation
◦ Workflow diagrams
◦ Business use cases
◦ System documentation
• Deliver user training and knowledge transfer sessions.
• Support enterprise adoption initiatives.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
• Monitor system performance.
• Generate operational reports and metrics.
• Analyze platform usage and identify improvement opportunities.
• Research emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of customer-facing experience in an enterprise environment.
• Experience supporting enterprise software platforms.
• Experience working with global teams and stakeholders preferred.
Technical Skills
• Microsoft 365 technologies.
• System administration and platform management.
• Workflow development and automation.
• System integrations.
• PowerShell experience preferred.
• ITIL certification preferred.
