
The IT & Data department at ASML enables secure, reliable, and compliant technology solutions that support the business worldwide. Within this department, you will join the COCKPIT program, a team responsible for strengthening and deploying an integrated IT control framework across the organization. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to a large-scale transformation that connects IT risk management, cyber security, and compliance. Rather than working on theoretical assessments, you will help improve controls that support secure and effective IT operations. In this role, you will support the implementation and continuous improvement of the integrated IT control framework. You will work closely with stakeholders across IT, risk, assurance, and cyber security to understand how risks are translated into controls and how organizations demonstrate compliance and security. You will contribute to a real transformation program while developing practical knowledge of IT controls, risk management, and cyber security. Your main responsibilities will be:
This is a master's internship for minimum 6 months, minimum 4 days per week (3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as soon as possible.
Knowledge of frameworks or standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, SOx, or NIS2 is considered an advantage but is not required.
During this internship, you will gain practical experience with IT auditing, cyber security controls, compliance processes, and risk management in a large-scale technology environment. You will learn how organizations design, implement, test, monitor, and improve control frameworks while balancing business objectives and security requirements. You will work alongside experienced professionals and gain exposure to a broad range of stakeholders across IT and business functions. This experience provides a strong foundation for future careers in IT Audit, Technology Risk, Cyber Security, Risk & Compliance, or Internal Controls.
