The Boeing Company is looking for experienced and detail-oriented Information Technology Business Partners (Senior or Lead) to join the team in Seattle, WA; El Segundo, CA; or Hazelwood, MO.
Boeing's Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) organization is seeking Senior and/or Lead IT Business Partners to support Boeing Engineering, primarily aligned to our Engineering Technology & Innovation and Boeing Additive Manufacturing organizations. The selected candidates will bring extensive experience and knowledge of Boeing IDT&S processes, solutions, and product offerings to bear in supporting the functions to which they’re aligned.
Position Responsibilities:
Contact for IDT&S for operational help needed from Boeing Additive Manufacturing, Boeing Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Autonomy, Mission Systems, Sustainability, Integrated Vehicle Systems, Enterprise Technology Office and Emergent Technologies & Trends (ET&T) business areas
Explain IDT&S services and technologies available to support emergent business requirements. Requires strong knowledge of IDT&S Enterprise AI & Data (EAI&D) tools, platforms and strategic roadmap to align engineering projects to the best IT solutions and path to production (e.g. AmazonQ/Kiro, Sagemaker, Github/Gitlab, DataOps, Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) etc.)
Process tickets for hardware/software/cloud resources from above Business Unit (BU) employees
Waiver Approval of SaTRN, ET&T contract review and reconciliation for contracts, including DFARS NIST 800-171 clauses
Partner with Senior Leaders from across Engineering, IDT&S, and the Businesses to lead the Artificial Intelligence Integrated Product Team, bringing together various stakeholders in providing guidance around standards, processes, and strategy
Provides strategic IDT&S knowledge to all ET&T Business Partner teams, to align business priorities with current and future state IT roadmap strategies (e.g. ASCENT, Cloud First, MS Teams migration etc.)
Represent IDT&S in Business Unit/Function meetings, face to face workshops and special attention meeting sessions; acts as a delegate for management in all meetings, as needed
Provide a comprehensive knowledge of IDT&S services, processes, affordability reconciliation, Long-Range Business Plan (LRBP) alignment and challenges to all BU leaders and employees
Provide guidance and explanation of complex IDT&S process flows
Knowledge of ticketing workflow, dynamic IT approval and funding allocaton processes (CapEx, OpEx, spend control towers etc.), Long Range Business Planning submission on behalf of BU’s and reconciliation across ET&T
Knowledge of IT access controls, onboarding, single-filter, external/contract accessibility and data access, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) collaboration via NASA network, box.com and federated Business 2 Business (B2B) collaboration services
Program Manager for IDT&S Statement of Work (SOW) as part of program leadership team (e.g. X66 SFD), managing IT risk, LRBP requested/allocated, and integrated schedule management with the Program Management Officer (PMO)
Lead strategy, operationalization and reconciliation of BU processes that integrate with IDT&S systems and processes (e.g. Gate 0, Gate Reviews, IT Transition, AI development platform standards, IT affordability etc.)
Proactive involvement in all gated reviews through the lifecycle of 30+ AI&A projects, with the ability to independently determine IT SOW dependencies and resource challenges, prior to production implementation impacts
Significant growth in demand for engineering AI application solutions, not using Advanced Development & Sustainment (AD&S), and typically not aligned to IDT&S sustainment requirements
Identify, represents, and mitigate risks to BU priorities resulting from IDT&S resource constraints. Champions BU priorities through IDT&S escalation processes, negotiating priorities with IDT&S support teams
Account for the dollars spent, funding, and affordability for supported ET&T business units
Lead and mentor Business Partner team members/peers through challenging tasks, coach on assignments, and support their learning and career growth as IT Business Partners
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience working in the Information Technology (IT) field
3+ years of experience in Process Development
3+ years of experience in Project Management
Willing and able to travel up to 25% domestically
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience interacting with executive stakeholders
Experience working in an aerospace domain
