MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Technology/Assurance Specialist - I to join our team at Vandenberg Space Force Base in Lompoc, CA

This role supports Special Access Programs (SAPs) within SSC and AFSPC Operational Units, providing critical "day-to-day" support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities in a full-time, on-site environment.

Responsibilities

You will help ensure the operational integrity and security of critical defense systems through the following actions:

  • Establish complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for assigned computer systems.
  • Maintain file servers, firewalls, network access, Security Monitoring Systems, and required system documentation.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance and support operational tests.
  • Review, prepare, and update AIS accreditation packages while performing regular AIS self-inspections.
  • Identify AIS vulnerabilities, implement countermeasures, and manage COMSEC accounts and equipment.
  • Perform VTC System Administration, account management, hardware/software system configuration, and general Help Desk troubleshooting.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 2+ years of total related experience, including a minimum of 2 years of relevant SCI or SAP experience.
  • Active DoD Directive 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA-Security) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Completed training or ability to complete training on Joint Security Implementation Guidance (JSIG) and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Applicable Windows professional certifications based on organizational operating system requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, and legacy Windows operating systems administration.
  • Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), and data backup technologies, including COMSEC integration.
  • Working knowledge of some of one of the following: JAFAN 6/0, DCID/JAFAN 6/3, DCID/JAFAN 6/9, and Joint DODIIS/Cryptologic SCI Information Systems Security Standards.
  • Experience with PL1 & PL2 systems, as well as familiarity with PL3 & PL4 cross-domain solutions.

Clearance Requirements

  • Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • You must possess eligibility for access to Special Access Programs.
  • You must have the willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph examination.

Physical Requirements

  • You must be willing to travel within the organizational Area of Responsibility via air and ground transportation.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs to install or remove computer-related equipment.
  • You must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time within a closed-area office environment.


The projected compensation range for this position is $85,000.00-$141,600.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
