Description
The Energy and Environment Cabinet, Office of Administrative Services, Division of Information Service’s mission is to provide the highest quality technology-based services to all agencies in the cabinet. This Information Systems Supervisor position offers a rewarding and exciting opportunity to work with a group of dedicated IT professionals who provide mission critical services to the citizens of the Commonwealth on a daily basis.
The Energy and Environment Cabinet, Office of Administrative Services, Division of Information Services, is seeking an Information Systems Supervisor to lead an IT Operations team and provide technology services that support the Cabinet’s programs.

This position has an approved Locality Premium of 16% in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9 (1).
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree OR a graduate of a college or university with an associate's degree in information technology or related field OR certification in an IT-related field.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Four years of professional experience in computer programming, systems analysis, systems support, or computer operating systems.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A master's degree in computer science will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Two years of additional experience in computer programming, systems analysis, computer operations, business or public administration, statistics, research, or a related field will substitute for the education requirement.

Incumbents working in this job title typically perform duties in an office setting.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
