In this role, you'll:


Work collaboratively across the business and within the Information Management team to deliver operational outcomes for information management in Sydney Metro that enables compliant and effective business operations. This includes contributing to the mandatory biennial records maturity assessment review.

Monitor communications channels to capture and action requests for information management activities and support from across Sydney Metro business areas. This includes managing and operating the records management functionality within the Sydney Metro electronic records management platform.

Undertake audit and monitoring activities including analysis of data to support compliance and reporting, including assessment of business systems and working on records disposal.

Deliver services that enable information lifecycle management, compliant records disposal including corporate and infrastructure project records, and project demobilisation.

This is a fixed-term, full-time role until 30 June 2027, with the possibility of extension. The role is based at 680 George Street and requires 50% office attendance.

About you

  • You are an experienced information management professional looking for an opportunity to build on your skillset and experience.
  • You understand and work effectively within digital information and records management environments and understand business process analysis and development.
  • You have a strong understanding of the regulatory and legislative compliance requirements related to information management such AS ISO 15489, the State Records Act 1998, and the NSW Standard on records management including associated whole of NSW government policies, procedures, and records retention and disposal schedules.
  • You have experience utilising technology platforms and systems to offer innovative, relevant, and impactful information and records management services and solutions, including using data and analytics to inform decision making and reporting.
  • You have experience working within major infrastructure project environments or similar complex business environments and have well developed reporting and analytical skills.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and are comfortable working with stakeholders across all levels of the business to achieve effective deliverables for information management
