About the role:

At Essity, cybersecurity plays a critical role in enabling our business and protecting our digital environment. As an Information Security Engineer, you will be part of our Cyber Defense Center, helping to enhance and maintain endpoint protection capabilities across a global enterprise environment. You will work closely with internal IT teams, security specialists, and technology partners to improve security controls, strengthen detection capabilities, and support the continuous evolution of our cybersecurity landscape.

What you will do:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of endpoint security capabilities across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain preventive, detective, and responsive security controls to reduce cyber risk and improve resilience.
  • Manage the lifecycle, configuration, optimization, and governance of cybersecurity technologies within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Drive security engineering initiatives that improve protection, visibility, monitoring, and operational effectiveness.
  • Translate threat intelligence, security incidents, and operational findings into measurable security improvements.
  • Support security investigations by providing technical expertise, root cause analysis, and remediation recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Cyber Defense Center functions, IT teams, and business stakeholders to strengthen security controls and reduce attack surface exposure.
  • Partner with vendors and technology providers to resolve issues, evaluate new capabilities, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain technical standards, procedures, documentation, and architectural guidance.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching to engineers and analysts while promoting engineering best practices across the Cyber Defense Center.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline. Relevant cybersecurity certifications are considered an advantage.

  • Extensive experience in cybersecurity engineering, with a strong focus on endpoint security, including the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of security controls in large and complex enterprise environments.

  • Strong understanding of endpoint protection, threat detection, incident response, endpoint hardening, security monitoring, and modern attack techniques, combined with the ability to translate security risks into practical and scalable solutions.

  • Proven experience managing and optimizing enterprise security technologies, driving engineering initiatives, and collaborating across security, infrastructure, workplace technology, and business teams to improve organizational cyber resilience.

  • A proactive and analytical leader with strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, mentoring, and collaboration skills, capable of balancing security requirements with business objectives.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken - All Applicants are requested to deliver their CV in English language.
