Information Security Officer
Our team is looking for an Information Security Officer focused on engagement with the different business units and leaders as well as learning their priorities and sharing initiatives within the Group Security-Information Security Department.
In this role you will be part of the GS-IS business engagement team and will serve as the trusted advisor to BU’s in IS matters as well as be the ambassador for security policies, controls and new initiatives within the different BU’s.
Your role:
- Build close and strategic engagement with business units to understand their needs and translate them into effective cybersecurity solutions and risk mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with business leaders, understand their technical environments as well as business goals, and translate them into security requirements and risk considerations, ensuring we support their business challenges and goals.
- Lead security assessments within the different business units/sites and have a good understanding of the business security maturity.
- Define and drive the cybersecurity solution roadmap, based on business priorities, business IT environments and architecture, regulatory requirements and aligning with enterprise architecture.
- Be an integral part of the Business engagement team to be the primary liaison between security and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and mutual understanding of goals and constraints.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and trust, building strong relationships across technical and non-technical teams to promote security as a business enabler.
- Be part of a high-performing team, promoting continuous learning, ownership, and leadership across the cybersecurity organization.
- Stay ahead of emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory trends, proactively adapting strategies and solutions to maintain resilience.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication, influence, and decision-making skills, especially in high-stakes or ambiguous environments.
You're the right fit if you have:
- A Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of working experience.
- 7+ years previous experience within information security.
- An MBA or other advanced degree is considered a strong advantage.
- Pro-active, self-starter that can develop and execute plans and objectives.
- Ability to resolve unique problems by collecting and interpreting information from multiple sources as needed to come to insightful solutions.
- Collaborative attitude and ability to work in multi-disciplinary team across multiple time zones.
- Comfortable working with and managing virtual teams.
- Knowledge of security, best practices and industry standards.
- Technical Certifications in Information Security (e.g. CISM, CISSP, etc.) preferred but not required.
- AI affinity and innovation mindset – Demonstrated interest and experience in leveraging AI‑driven solutions, analytics, and automation to improve security effectiveness and decision‑making.
- Previous experience working within a large multinational company deploying information security capabilities.
- Knowledge of privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR) and understanding of how Information Security needs to comply with those requirements.
- Knowledge of the legal, industrial, and cultural security requirements for a large multinational industrial firm.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001 standards and NIST2 framework.
- Experience managing the work of 3rd parties that have been contracted to deliver information security capabilities.
- Desire to constantly learn, improve, and drive results.
- Fluency in English (min C1 level).
- Travel to BU’s is required.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
