Job Description

Ready to lead security where innovation, purpose, and real-world impact come together?

Trilogy Care is one of Australia's fastest-growing approved Support at Home (HCP/S@H) providers. We're a purpose-driven team helping people live independently at home for longer, creating meaningful impact for our clients, their families, and our people.

AI isn't a future initiative here - it's already embedded in how we work. Using frontier AI from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google, alongside agentic AI and real-time data, we're transforming care every day. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a security leader to build and lead the program that protects it all.

This is a true security leadership role. You'll design our security architecture, lead governance and compliance, and oversee the secure adoption of AI across the business. You'll own the security strategy, risk, compliance, operations, and culture, with the opportunity to build and grow the function. If you're looking for a role with genuine autonomy, cutting-edge technology, and meaningful impact, this is it.

What You’ll Do

The full scope of information security - from compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, Essential 8) through to cloud posture, endpoint protection, AI governance and incident response. You'll build the roadmap, set priorities, deliver outcomes and report to the executive team on risk and progress.

  • Compliance & certification - ISMS, audit cycles, regulatory obligations (Privacy Act, Aged Care Quality Standards)
  • Cloud & infrastructure security - controls, detection, monitoring, vulnerability management
AI & agentic governance - securing autonomous AI systems, governing what agents can access, audit trails on automated actions
  • Endpoint & identity - EDR, MDM, SSO, conditional access, least-privilege
  • Culture & enablement - awareness training, security-by-design in development workflows, DevSecOps

What makes you a fit

You take ownership from day one—building the risk register, prioritising what matters, presenting trade-offs to executives, and driving remediation. You’re comfortable leading an independent security function and building from the ground up.

  • 7+ years building and owning security programs, including strategy, roadmaps, risk, and executive reporting.
  • Proven delivery of ISO 27001, SOC 2, Essential Eight, and Privacy Act compliance outcomes.
  • Hands-on AWS experience, designing controls for cloud, containerised, and serverless environments.
  • Strong understanding of AI security governance, including data protection, access controls, and agent boundaries.
  • Ability to communicate security risks and solutions effectively with executives and technical teams.
  • Experienced managing audits, remediation programs, and security improvements end-to-end.

Bonus points

  • Experience securing AI/ML or LLM-based systems in production (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, or similar)
  • Background in healthcare, aged care or other regulated sectors with PII/PHI obligations
  • DevSecOps and automation (Python, CDK, CI/CD security scanning)
  • EDR/MDR platform experience (CrowdStrike, Huntress or similar)
  • Endpoint management (Intune or equivalent)
  • Experience growing a security function from sole practitioner into a team

Why Trilogy Care

  • Security as a foundation for trust, not a compliance checkbox
  • AI and technology as core to the operating model
  • Leadership, autonomy and direct executive access
  • Budget authority and vendor decision-making
  • Meaningful work that protects the data and dignity of thousands of older Australians
  • There's scope to grow the function and build a team as the organisation scales.
