Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-wide security policies, procedures, and systems across endpoints and networks. Ensures that security architecture, controls, and processes are aligned with organizational standards and compliance requirements. Proactively identifies risks, investigates incidents, and develops strategies to strengthen defenses against emerging threats.
Evaluate, test, recommend, and implement security solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise security standards and compliance frameworks.
Proactively monitor complex systems and respond to known and emerging threats using intrusion detection and prevention technologies.
Conduct detailed investigations of security events by analyzing log data, correlating feeds, and triaging incidents across diverse environments.
Lead incident handling processes, including containment, remediation, and recovery activities.
Stay current on evolving threats, analyzing third-party solutions, IT configuration changes, and system architectures from a risk perspective.
Design and configure enterprise security systems such as proxies, remote access, mail gateways, intrusion prevention, wireless security, DLP, SIEM, and web application firewalls.
Develop and maintain emerging threat models to assess vulnerabilities and recommend proactive countermeasures.
Perform risk assessments and compliance audits in line with ISO, PCI, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards.
Create cost-effective, secure solutions for system and application development, embedding security concepts into design and deployment.
Manage day-to-day access control and security operations across multiple platforms and tools.
Partner with business stakeholders to align security initiatives with corporate policy, risk tolerance, and regulatory requirements.
Contribute to long-term strategies for penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, policy creation, and continuous improvement of security posture.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 4 years of proven, hands-on experience in Endpoint Security, including but not limited to:
Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)
SIEM
Database Activity Monitoring
Encryption technologies
Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
Asset Discovery
File Integrity Monitoring
Application Control
Hands-on experience in network operations, engineering, or system administration across Unix, Linux, macOS, or Windows environments.
Proven background in security operations, intrusion detection systems, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and anti-virus log analysis.
Familiarity with industry-standard security compliance programs (PCI, SOX, GLBA, etc.).
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar, including deployment and integration of endpoint security solutions in cloud environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GSEC, Network+, Security+.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in endpoint and cloud security.
Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (PCI, SOX, GLBA) and cloud security standards (CIS Benchmarks, NIST, ISO 27001).
Technical Expertise: A seasoned professional with deep knowledge of endpoint security and cloud security practices. Capable of resolving complex issues with innovative solutions.
Job Complexity: Skilled in analyzing diverse data sets, applying sound judgment, and selecting effective methods for problem-solving.
Collaboration: Ability to network with senior internal and external stakeholders, providing expertise in endpoint and cloud security.
Supervision: Operates independently with minimal day-to-day instruction; receives general guidance on new initiatives.
Risk Assessment: Strong ability to identify, communicate, and mitigate risks in both endpoint and cloud solution designs.
Industry Knowledge: Commitment to continuous learning of emerging threats, cloud-native security tools, and evolving compliance requirements.
Incident Response - Knowledge and skills to contribute to all phases of Incident Response.
