Job Description

Role Purpose

The Cyber Security Analyst analyzes security events across cloud and enterprise environments, with a primary focus on cloud security monitoring and analysis, supporting incident detection and response activities.

The role ensures operational continuity of Incident Response activities and contributes to improving detection capabilities across the Security Operations perimeter, including the integration of cloud security data into centralized monitoring platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and prioritize security findings, including those originating from cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Microsoft Azure)
  • Support integration of cloud security data sources into centralized monitoring platforms
  • Monitor and analyze security events and alerts generated by SIEM, XDR and other security platforms
  • Support incident detection and response activities, including triage, investigation, escalation and coordination with relevant teams
  • Support containment and remediation activities in coordination with infrastructure, cloud and application teams
  • Contribute to the development and tuning of detection use cases and to the continuous improvement of incident response processes (including validation activities such as BAS / SCV)

Technical requirements

  • Proven experience in Security Operations and incident handling within enterprise environments
  • Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, Microsoft Azure) and related security monitoring
  • Experience in analyzing and prioritizing security findings in cloud environments (e.g. CSPM / CNAPP)
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM / XDR platforms and security event analysis
  • Experience in incident detection, triage and investigation processes (L2 or equivalent)
  • Understanding of core security technologies (EDR, IDS/IPS, WAF) and standards (ISO 27001, NIS2 context)
  • Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud security platforms and activities (e.g. CSPM / CNAPP, cloud security monitoring)
  • Experience in enterprise SOC environments
  • Experience with security control validation activities (e.g. BAS / SCV)
  • Certifications in Cloud Security and Security Operations, such as:-
    • Cloud security certifications (e.g. Palo Alto PCCSE, Wiz CDFC, Check Point CCSA or equivalent CSPM/CNAPP platforms)
    • Security Operations / Incident Response certifications (e.g. SC-200, CySA+, GCIH, GMON or equivalent)
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and make decisions in time-critical situations
  • Critical thinking and ability to challenge assumptions when analyzing security events and findings
  • Attention to detail while maintaining visibility of the overall context and risk
  • Clear and structured communication when coordinating with multiple technical teams
  • Additional advanced cybersecurity certifications (e.g. SC-100, AWS SAP-C02, Google PCA or equivalent) considered a plus
