Senior Business Analyst

Hybrid | San Diego, CA

Compensation: $105,000 - $132,000 annually

Actual compensation within this range will be determined by factors including experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity.

This role serves as an important connection between our business teams and Information Technology, helping translate business needs into solutions that improve processes, systems, and the overall member and team member experience. • Be the bridge between business and technology! Partner with business leaders, subject matter experts, IT teams, and vendors to understand business needs and translate them into requirements, user stories, process maps, and effective technology solutions.
• Turn challenges into opportunities! Analyze processes, systems, and operational needs to identify improvements, increase efficiency, modernize operations, and create better experiences for members and team members.
• Help bring solutions to life! Support projects from planning through implementation by coordinating testing, facilitating user acceptance testing (UAT), tracking issues, obtaining stakeholder signoff, and providing post-implementation support.
• Be a trusted advisor! Develop a strong understanding of Mission Fed’s operations, systems, and member delivery channels to provide thoughtful recommendations, communicate business impacts, and translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
• Help shape what’s next! Stay current on emerging technology, Fintech, and industry best practices while sharing your expertise, mentoring others, and helping teams successfully navigate change and continuous improvement.

Here is what we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration with an IT specialization, or equivalent. Two years of equivalent experience may substitute for every one year of education.
• A minimum of 5 years of Business Analyst experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software, hardware, systems, or product solutions.
• Hands-on experience developing business requirements, process maps, test scripts, training materials, and other project documentation.
• Strong experience gathering, analyzing, and interpreting business and operational information to support recommendations and decision-making.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, quantitative, and project management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language.
• Someone who is highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple projects and priorities.
• Experience working within Agile frameworks and familiarity with the software development lifecycle is a plus.
• Financial institution experience is preferred.
• Experience with financial core processing platforms, including Symitar Episys Quest, is preferred.
• Certified Scrum Master certification is highly preferred.
• A collaborative partner who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, influencing solutions, and helping others succeed.
