Job Description

Sword is a leading provider of business technology solutions within the Energy, Public and Finance Sectors, driving transformational change within our clients. We use proven technology, specialist teams and domain expertise to build solid technical foundations across platforms, data, and business applications. We have a passion for using technology to solve business problems, working in partnership with our clients to help in achieving their goals.

About the role:

Working as an Information Management Analyst, you will play a key role in helping major energy clients improve how critical business information is organised, governed, and accessed across Microsoft 365 platforms including SharePoint, Teams, and Network Drives.

Sitting within a collaborative Information Management function, you’ll work closely with users across the business to support smarter, more efficient ways of working — helping teams navigate, structure, and manage information in a way that is secure, accessible, and fit for purpose.

This is a varied, people-focused role where no two days are the same. From supporting content migrations and improving digital workspaces, to providing user guidance and driving adoption of best practices, you’ll become a trusted point of contact across the organisation. You’ll have the opportunity to influence how information is managed at scale, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and support the ongoing evolution of digital collaboration environments within a fast-paced operational setting.

Ideal for someone who enjoys combining technology, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement, this role offers the chance to build valuable experience within Information Management while working on meaningful, business-critical activities.

As the Information Management Analyst, you will:

  • Support and maintain SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Network Drive environments
  • Liaise with business users to gather, understand, and document requirements
  • Implement updates and changes across content management environments, including folders, libraries, permissions, and page structures
  • Support information and content migrations using tools such as ShareGate
  • Provide user guidance, coaching, and support to improve adoption and best practice usage
  • Ensure changes are documented appropriately and align with Information Security controls and governance standards
  • Provide advice to stakeholders on information storage, collaboration, and records management practices
  • Work closely with Infrastructure, Applications, Service Desk, and Security teams to support business requirements
  • Respond to support requests and tickets through ServiceNow
  • Contribute to ongoing Information Management initiatives and continuous improvement activities
  • Support compliance, governance, and information quality across enterprise platforms

Requirements

  • Previous experience within an Information Management, Content Management, or Digital Support role
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments including SharePoint and Teams
  • Strong understanding of information governance and document management principles
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across different business functions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proactive, organised, and adaptable approach to work
  • Experience working within a service-driven or support environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

  • Experience using ShareGate for migrations or administration support
  • Experience working with ServiceNow
  • Experience within Energy, Engineering, or asset-intensive environments
  • Knowledge of records management and compliance processes
  • Exposure to Information Security or data governance frameworks
