The Information and Record Management Officer assists Bayside Health to process requests for medical records and health information. Such requests may come from external organisations and stakeholders including patients. Working with Bayside Health's Manager of Information Services, you will assist in both retrieval and supply of health information, and in creating efficient structures and processes to assist the organisation to respond to applications in the future.

We are seeking someone who is a great communicator, flexible and thinks quickly on their feet, positive, efficient, accurate, enjoys following processes and information management.

Qualifications / Experiences Required

  • Knowledge of Privacy and Freedom of Information processes.
  • Excellent data entry accuracy and speed.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders in a professional and time critical manner.
  • Excellent planning, prioritisation and organisational skills with the capacity to work to tight deadlines and comply with statutory requirements.
  • Ability to use established administrative system and processesAbility to communicate and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Customer service skills including respect and sensitivity to people who may be experiencing stress due to personal or family illness.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
