As an Informatica PowerCenter Developer - Senior Associate, you will play a pivotal role in transforming data into valuable insights within our Data and Analytics Engineering group. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing data solutions that drive business decisions and enhance client outcomes. As a Senior Associate, you will leverage your skills to analyze complex problems, mentor junior team members, and maintain professional standards. You will focus on building meaningful client relationships and developing a deeper understanding of the business context, navigating increasingly complex situations to grow your personal brand and deepen your technical skills.
In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will work within our Cloud Engineering, Data & Analytics network, contributing to data modernization efforts and product innovation. You will anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, delivering quality solutions while embracing ambiguity and using these moments as opportunities for growth. Your work will be integral to the firm's strategies, and you will use a broad range of methodologies and techniques to generate new ideas and solve problems, enhancing your strengths and addressing development areas.
Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining data integration workflows using Informatica PowerCenter to support client data needs
- Implementing data architecture solutions to optimize data flow and storage across cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
- Utilizing Apache Airflow for orchestrating complex data pipelines and enhancing data processing efficiency
- Designing and executing data transformation strategies to improve data quality and accessibility
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address data challenges and drive innovation in data engineering practices
- Building scalable data infrastructure to support large-scale data analytics and reporting requirements
- Conducting performance tuning and query optimization to enhance database management systems
- Validating data security protocols and implementing best practices for database protection
- Leading efforts in data modeling and dimensional modeling to support data warehouse development
- Troubleshooting data warehouse issues and implementing solutions to maintain system reliability
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in ETL/ELT development and data integration.
-Strong hands-on experience with Informatica IICS/IDMC, including Cloud Application Integration (CAI) and Cloud Data Integration (CDI), and Informatica PowerCenter.
-Experience supporting migration of ETL workloads from PowerCenter to IICS/IDMC cloud-native platforms.
-Strong hands-on experience with Cloud Data Warehouse like Snowflake /Databricks, including data modeling, optimization, and query tuning.
-Working knowledge of Databricks and Apache Spark for data processing and transformation.
-Experience with API integration and middleware solutions using Informatica CAI.
-Proficient in Python programming to support automation, data processing, and advanced data transformations.
-Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines integrating Snowflake with diverse sources via IICS.
-Design, develop, and unit test complex mappings, workflows, and tasks using IICS, IDMC, and PowerCenter.
-Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications and design.
-Knowledge and hands – on , Snowflake data objects including tables, views, stages, streams, and tasks with focus on performance and cost optimization.
-Should be aware of Snowflake features such as data sharing, events, and lake-house patterns.
-Should have experience with data security and data access controls.
-Good to have AWS, Azure, or GCP data storage and management technologies such as S3, Blob/ADLS, and Google Cloud Storage.
