Mō te tūranga | What you’ll be doing

For this 9-month fixed term role, you’ll be part of the Quality Assurance Team within the Engineering function of Meridian’s Generation Business Unit. The team develops fit for purpose systems and processes that manage risk, support compliance, and enable continuous improvement across the business.

As our Information Management UX Specialist, you’ll focus on improving how information is structured, accessed and experienced across our Enterprise Document Management System (SharePoint). Your work will be practical, user-centred and impact focused.

In this role, you will:

  • Design and optimise SharePoint and M365 solutions with a strong focus on UX, governance and information architecture

  • Implement metadata, permissions and controls to improve security, compliance and information discoverability

  • Use M365 tools (including Copilot, Power Automate and AI agents) to uplift information management practices

  • Lead content migrations and structural improvements using tools such as ShareGate

  • Provide advanced SharePoint and M365 support and best‑practice guidance to users

  • Contribute to discovery and design work for future drawing management solutions (this role does not include technical drawing management)

You’re a digitally curious, user focused professional who enjoys improving how people interact with information. You’re comfortable working across technology and business needs, and you bring a practical, solutions focused mindset.

You’ll also bring:

  • Strong experience with M365 suite, including SharePoint Online, sites, libraries, metadata, content types and workflows

  • A solid understanding of UX and information architecture principles

  • Experience developing or supporting AI / Copilot agents or similar digital tools

  • Experience with content migration and tools such as ShareGate

  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem solving skills

  • The ability to translate business needs into structured, intuitive digital solutions

  • A continuous improvement mindset and genuine interest in digital innovation
