We offer a robust medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance package, along with many other benefit options. INFINITI HR is searching for a Senior Commercial Insurance Manager. The Insurance Manager is responsible for the oversight, growth, retention, and operational management of a multi-line commercial insurance book of business, including franchise and standalone accounts. This role supports the placement and management of Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, Professional Liability, Property, Cyber, EPLI, Umbrella, and ancillary insurance coverages. This role is accountable for contributing to department profitability, premium growth, client retention, carrier relations, and overall insurance program performance. Responsibilities include renewal management, standalone market placement, underwriting analysis, carrier negotiations, cross-selling initiatives, and consultative insurance guidance for clients and internal stakeholders. As a senior-level position, this role leads operational and strategic initiatives impacting insurance programs, vendor relationships, and internal workflows. This includes managing carrier transitions, coordinating insurance compliance requirements, supporting billing and invoicing operations, and assisting with implementation of new systems, reporting tools, and program enhancements geared toward risk management and client service excellence. Primary Responsibilities: Manage, retain, and grow a multi-line commercial insurance book of business through underwriting analysis, client relationship management, cross-selling initiatives, and strategic carrier placement. Coordinate placement of renewal, non-renewal, new business, and mid-term policies with appropriate insurance carriers and vendor partners. Review and evaluate commercial insurance risks to determine coverage structure, carrier fit, pricing strategy, and underwriting acceptability. Analyze pricing, coverage terms, renewal strategy, and market competitiveness while ensuring adherence to carrier guidelines and compliance requirements. Review carrier non-renewals, mid-term policy changes, cancellations, and renewal terms for assigned accounts while proactively remarketing accounts when necessary. Ensure carrier compliance with statutory notification requirements related to cancellations, nonrenewals, and coverage changes. Analyze book performance, premium growth, retention trends, and underwriting results while preparing reports and recommendations for management. Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, wholesalers, underwriters, brokers, and vendor partners to support competitive placement strategies and program development. Review client renewals annually to evaluate coverage adequacy, pricing competitiveness, risk exposures, and ancillary insurance needs. Identify opportunities for account rounding and additional line placements including Cyber, EPLI, Umbrella, Property, Workers’ Compensation, and ancillary commercial coverages. Compile client submission information and negotiate placement terms with carriers, wholesalers, and insurance markets to secure competitive coverage solutions. Market and place standalone Workers’ Compensation policies and ancillary coverages for clients not eligible for the PEO master insurance program. Consult clients regarding cyber liability exposures, franchise compliance requirements, and available insurance solutions while supporting growth of the cyber insurance portfolio. Coordinate carrier transitions, renewal implementation strategies, and insurance program initiatives to support departmental growth and retention objectives. Serve as a liaison between policyholders, carriers, franchise partners, and internal departments to ensure a high level of customer service and operational efficiency. Serve as a subject matter resource for franchise insurance operations, commercial insurance placements, carrier program management, and insurance compliance matters. Coordinate certificates of insurance, lease requirements, additional insured requests, franchise compliance documentation, and related policy servicing activities. Oversee insurance billing coordination, invoicing, installment payment structures, payment follow-up, and operational support related to policy administration. Support implementation of insurance operational improvements, reporting tools, carrier initiatives, and workflow enhancements related to risk and client service operations. Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, carrier appetite changes, statutory requirements, and regulatory compliance matters affecting commercial insurance operations. Collaborate with internal departments and leadership to support departmental profitability, premium growth, retention, and operational objectives. Provide consultative insurance guidance to clients and internal stakeholders regarding coverage structure, risk exposures, and insurance program strategies. Maintain accurate client records, renewal timelines, underwriting documentation, carrier correspondence, and operational reporting within agency management systems. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Advanced knowledge of commercial Property & Casualty insurance products including Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, Professional Liability, Property, Cyber Liability, EPLI, Umbrella, and ancillary commercial coverages. Current P&C licensure in at least one state is required. Strong understanding of franchise insurance operations, compliance requirements, carrier guidelines, underwriting practices, and renewal management strategies. Ability to effectively consult business owners, franchise operators, and client contacts regarding insurance program structure, coverage options, compliance requirements, and risk management strategies. Strong knowledge of standalone Workers’ Compensation placement, underwriting considerations, classification analysis, experience modification factors, audits, and carrier marketing processes. Working knowledge of cyber liability insurance exposures, breach response considerations, and compliance-related insurance requirements. Excellent customer service and communication skills to explain complex insurance concepts clearly. Candidates should possess sales skills to support insurance program growth and client retention. Experience in PEO, commercial insurance brokerage, or carrier-side roles is preferred. High school diploma plus five years relevant experience, or equivalent. Professional designations such as CPCU, ARM, CIC are preferred. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and use standard office and insurance-related software tools effectively. Must have a private, distraction-free remote work environment. This is a remote-first job with 10% - 15% travel for client conferences and to Infiniti's main office in Columbia, MD. Successful candidates will be expected to travel to the main office upon hire and about two times per year, and to client conferences two to three times per year. Base salary is $100,000 to $110,000 with substantial commission eligibility.
