• DirectthemanagerialfunctionsofourInfectionControl Program
• AssurecompliancewithCMS,TJC,CDC,OSHA,andotherfederalandstatestandardsand guidelines.
• Analyzehospitalinfectiondatatoidentifytrends,clusters,riskfactorsand variances.
• Managehospitalpoliciesconsistentwithapplicableinfectioncontrolguidelinesand standards.
• Performsurveillance,analysis,andreportingofhospital-acquired infections.
• Educatestaffoninfectioncontrol protocols.
• Serveasaknowledgeableandavailableresourceoninfectioncontrolpracticesand policies.
• Developandmaintaininfectioncontrolstandardsmeetingregulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Currentlicenseorcertificationasamedicaltechnologist,clinicallaboratoryscientist, physician, or registered nurse.
• Minimumofabachelor'sdegreeinahealthcare field.
• 1yearexperienceinaclinicalsettinginfieldof practice.
• Preferred:CIC Certification.
• Trainingininfectioncontroland/or epidemiology.
• Preferred:experienceinhospitalinfectioncontrol practice.
• Completedpost-secondaryeducationinahealth-relatedfieldincludingbutnotlimited to medicine, nursing, laboratory technology, public health, or biology.
