Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Infection Preventionist with our Medical Affairs.
It is the role of the Infection Preventionist to develop and implement practices to improve patient care through infection surveillance and prevention activities. Surveillance activities will be based on culture results, trends in the literature and community, and issues identified within the hospital. Prevention activities shall be designed to prevent the spread of organisms in the Cabell Huntington Hospital facilities to patients, employees, medical staff members, service workers, volunteer students and visitors. The Infection Preventionist shall promote collaboration with the patient care team to ensure compliance with basic infection prevention principles.
