Infant Teacher - Early Childhood Education

Location: The Learning Experience - Byron Center, MI

Pay: $17-$19 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM-6:00 PM

The Learning Experience - Byron Center is seeking a nurturing and dependable Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

This is a wonderful opportunity for an educator who loves working with babies and being part of their earliest milestones. You'll create a warm, responsive classroom where infants feel safe, secure, and loved while developing through meaningful interactions, sensory experiences, movement, and play.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nurturing, responsive care in an Infant classroom
• Support individualized feeding, diapering, sleep, and daily care routines
• Engage infants through sensory play, music, movement, language, tummy time, and age-appropriate activities
• Support cognitive, physical, language, and social-emotional development
• Observe children's development and maintain required classroom documentation
• Provide attentive supervision and responsive care throughout the day
• Build trusting relationships and communicate regularly with families
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and center leadership
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and nurturing classroom
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous professional daycare, childcare, or infant classroom experience preferred
• Experience caring for infants strongly preferred
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
• Patient, nurturing, dependable, and team-oriented
• Comfortable with feeding, diapering, and other infant care routines
• Must meet applicable Michigan childcare licensing requirements
