Infant Mental Health (IMH) / Family Coach

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Part time

Hourly Rate: $17.00 to $19.00

Family Treatment Services provides a Puʻuhonua designed for women and children on their journey toward living a life free of substance use and violence. We provide gender responsive residential and outpatient treatment, infant mental health and family services and supportive housing that helps women create healthy, supportive relationships in their lives and set them on the path toward achieving their self-directed goals.

Under the Supervision of the IMH and Family Services Coordinator and in collaboration with IMH/Family Therapists the IMH Interventionist/Family Coach will provide support, interaction and brief interventions for infants/mothers and their families in a residential treatment program. The IMH Interventionist/Family Coach will directly support observations, assessments, goal tracking, child development and family visitation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Regular attendance is required for this position, work hours may be flexible
•Supports IMH team with observations, assessments and brief interventions
•Participates regularly in Reflective Supervision and Consultation
•Provides intermittent small group childcare/playgroups
•Supports documentation and updates to service plans, child development tracking and goal strategies
•Participates in treatment and team meetings as needed
•Manages/inventories supplies, donations and “lending” closet for parent/child items, completes building inspections, minor data collections
Additional Employee Responsibilities at FTS:
1.Responsible for regular attendance and notification of any absences (at least 3 hours prior to start of shift) or requests to flex schedule (allowed only after proper approval received).
2.Use of TSA approved communication devices only (i.e. work email and work phone numbers). Timely response (within 24 business hours) to calls/texts/emails is expected.
3.Correctly and promptly follow specified agency procedures required for the appropriate handling of all Emergency Response Codes.
4.Participate in mandatory FTS trainings and quarterly staff meetings to keep updated with best practices and agency news.
5.Complete an annual health evaluations and TB clearances (per OHCA licensing regulations) and any other additional contract or licensing related employee requirements. Provide completed documentation to Administration.
6.Maintains work area in a neat, orderly and sanitary manner.
7.Perform other related duties as may be required or assigned to meet program needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Bachelor’s degree in psychology, early childhood education, social work or similar field, preferred
2.Minimum 2 years of experience working with parents and young children in home, residential, childcare or other setting(s) preferred
3.Competent in up-to-date Microsoft versions and programs, and virtual/telehealth platforms
4.Comfortable with written documentation and navigation in data/EMR systems
5.IMH-Endorsement® preferred, willing to complete an IMH-Endorsement ® within the first year of employment
6.Valid Hawaii Driver's License Required
