Job Description
DKZ Children’s Classic is looking for a loving, dependable, and team-oriented Infant Caregiver to join our early childhood team!
As an Infant Caregiver, you will work alongside another caregiver to provide exceptional care for a group of up to 8 infants in a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with infants and understands the importance of providing responsive, attentive care throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Provide loving, attentive, and responsive care to infants.
- Work collaboratively with a co-caregiver to maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment.
- Follow all Utah Child Care Licensing rules and regulations
- Maintain appropriate supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of every child.
- Change diapers and maintain proper hygiene throughout the day.
- Prepare and provide bottles, food, and meals according to each infant’s individual schedule and needs.
- Accurately document and chart daily care routines, including feeding, diapering, sleep, and other important information.
- Follow each child’s individualized care plan and family instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with families and team members.
- Participate as an active and supportive member of the teaching team.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a current Food Handler’s Permit
- Must be available to work Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
- Previous infant or childcare experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual
- Must enjoy working with infants and demonstrate patience, compassion, and dependability.
- Must work well in a team environment and communicate and collaborate effectively with fellow caregivers.
- Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to providing high-quality care.
- Must be able to safely lift and carry children weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to perform repetitive physical movements throughout the workday, including bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, carrying, sitting on the floor, and getting up and down frequently.
- Must be able to safely respond to the physical needs of infants throughout the day.
