Astor Services is hiring Infant and Toddler Teachers today! Enjoy working Monday through Friday from 7:30-3:00 in a fun and nurturing learning environment. Early Head Start is a federally funded program delivering services to infants 8 weeks to 18 months old in core areas of early learning, health, and family well-being.
The Teacher will be responsible for the delivery of educational services to children in a classroom setting in a lead role. The teacher will utilize the Creative Curriculum, a play-based Curriculum, to provide a safe, engaging and nurturing classroom for infants and toddlers. The teacher will be responsible for implementing high quality lesson plans, ongoing assessments, and will participate in home visits to provide families with feedback on their child’s development. We are seeking a positive, professional and caring teacher to join our team!

Requirements

· Valid drivers license with two years of driving experience required.

Astor Services is a community based, non-profit organization that provides children's mental health services, child welfare services, and early childhood development programs. Astor serves children and families in New York State's Mid-Hudson Valley region and the Bronx.
Through a wide variety of premier quality education and mental health services, Astor provides support for pre-schoolers, children with behavioral and emotional health problems, children at risk of placement in foster care, and families that need assistance in developing the skills necessary to raise their children in an environment filled with increasing challenges. Astor currently serves thousands of children each year through its prevention, early childhood, special education, community behavioral health and residential treatment programs.
No one will be denied access to services due to their inability to pay. A discounted/sliding fee schedule is available based on family size and income.
