Infant Assistant Teacher - Early Childhood Education

The Learning Experience - Cascade, MI

Pay: $17-$19 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

The Learning Experience - Cascade is seeking a caring and dependable Infant Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with babies and wants to grow their career in early childhood education. You'll work alongside our teaching team to provide a warm, nurturing classroom where infants feel safe, loved, and supported through every stage of their early development.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher with daily Infant classroom routines and activities
• Provide nurturing, responsive care throughout the day
• Assist with feeding, diapering, sleep, and individualized care routines
• Engage infants through tummy time, sensory play, music, movement, language, and age-appropriate activities
• Support physical, cognitive, language, and social-emotional development
• Provide attentive supervision and maintain required classroom ratios
• Help maintain a clean, safe, organized, and nurturing classroom
• Communicate positively with families and fellow educators
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous daycare, childcare, preschool, or infant care experience preferred
• Professional infant classroom experience is a plus
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
• Comfortable with feeding, diapering, and infant care routines
• Patient, nurturing, dependable, and team-oriented
• Must meet applicable Michigan childcare licensing requirements
