Job Objectives :

Industry Manager, ASEAN is responsible for leading and driving the overall sales strategy, business growth, and market expansion across the ASEAN sub-region for Dispersion Business Unit (Fiber Bonding & Adhesive, Paper & Carpet Dispersion Industry). This role oversee sub-regional sales operations, key account management, revenue growth, and customer relationship development while ensuring alignment with the company’s business objectives and profitability targets.

The role requires strong leadership capabilities, strategic planning, and hands-on execution to achieve sustainable growth and strengthen the company’s market presence across ASEAN countries.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Business Growth

  • Develop and implement sub-region sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets across ASEAN markets.
  • Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and customer needs to expand the company’s market share.
  • Drive sales growth through strategic partnerships, channel development, and key account acquisition.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness.

Sub-Region Sales Management

  • Lead, coach, and manage country sales teams to ensure high performance and target achievement.
  • Establish sales objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics for sub-region and country-level teams.
  • Conduct regular sales reviews, forecasting, pipeline management, and business performance analysis.
  • Ensure effective coordination and alignment among ASEAN sales teams.

Key Account & Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
  • Support negotiations for major contracts and commercial agreements.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term business retention.

Operational & Financial Management

  • Take responsibility for financial performance to achieve agreed on targets regarding net sales, contribution margin and fixed costs
  • Manage sub-regional sales budgets and ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and business performance presentations for management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, commercial procedures, and sub-region regulations.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, marketing, and supply chain teams to support business objectives.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and capability development for sub-region sales teams.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify talent development and succession planning opportunities within the sales organization.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
  • Minimum 10 - 15 years of sales and business development experience in the chemical industry within multinational environments.
  • Strong exposure with Polymer Dispersions product
  • Proven experience managing sales teams.
  • Strong track record in achieving sales growth and managing key accounts in Fiber Bonding & Adhesive, Paper & Carpet Dispersion Industry is a plus
  • Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and commercial negotiations.
