We are currently seeking a Industry Consulting Snr. Consultant to join our team in Gurgaon / Noida, Haryāna (IN-HR), India (IN).

– Application / L2 Production Support Engineer

Client: S&P Global – Markets
Experience: 4–8 Years
Location: India | Hybrid
Shift: EMEA – 12 PM to 9 PM IST

Seeking an experienced L2 Application/Production Support Engineer to support business-critical applications, manage production incidents, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure application availability and stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2 production/application support and resolve escalated incidents.
• Manage Incident, Problem & Change Management activities.
• Troubleshoot application, database, OS, and cloud-related issues.
• Perform RCA/post-mortems for critical production incidents.
• Monitor application health, logs, alerts, jobs, and performance.
• Coordinate with Development, Infrastructure, Product, and Business teams.
• Support releases and maintain technical/operational documentation.
• Ensure adherence to defined SLAs/OLAs

Must-Have Skills

• 4–8 years in Application/Production Support
• Strong SQL and database troubleshooting – SQL Server/PostgreSQL/Oracle.
• Cloud exposure – AWS preferred; Azure/GCP acceptable.
• Monitoring tools – Splunk, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana or equivalent.
• Windows & Linux troubleshooting.
• Incident, Problem, Change Management and RCA experience.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and stakeholder-management skills.

Good-to-Have

• Python scripting / Terraform.
• Financial Services or Capital Markets experience.
• AIOps / AI-ML exposure for anomaly detection, predictive alerts, or log analysis.
• Experience supporting highly available 24×7 applications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related discipline.

Screening Priority: Strong Production Support + SQL + Cloud + Monitoring + Incident Management experience. AI/ML/AIOps is desirable, not mandatory.

Note : Disqualifying Criteria

Reject/hold candidates if they have any of the following:

• No hands-on L2 Application/Production Support experience.
• Weak or no SQL/database troubleshooting experience.
• No practical Cloud exposure (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP acceptable).
• No experience with monitoring/observability tools such as Splunk, CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• No exposure to Incident, Problem, Change Management and RCA
• Only Development/Testing experience with no production support ownership
• Unable to support the 12 PM–9 PM IST EMEA shift / hybrid model
• Poor communication or inability to handle critical incidents and stakeholder coordination
• Lack of AI/ML/AIOps experience should not be treated as a disqualifier.
