As an Industrial Utilities/HVAC-R Technician, you will be responsible for the service, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of ammonia refrigeration systems, HVAC, and utilities systems. You will also participate in the Process Safety Management program and be an integral member of the factory Emergency Response and HAZWOPER teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair large HVAC/R equipment.
  • Manage ammonia refrigeration systems, drive-in coolers/freezers, glycol chillers, steam boilers, and water systems.
  • Maintain equipment logs and reports using computerized maintenance systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED preferred.
  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration and a minimum of 1 year in manufacturing or HVAC/R is preferred.
  • RETA-CARO certification is a plus (company support for certification if not already obtained).
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with all departments.

Additional Skills:

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety documents and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with groups and adhere to plant rules and policies.
  • Willingness to take on additional duties as assigned.
