HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors , is looking to hire Industrial Service Technicians to work at a customer location in Granite City, IL andto join their safety conscious team! The IS Technician responsibilities may include monitoring tanks, confined space entry, working at heights and working alongside various types of equipment. This is a physically intensive position. Ensures compliance with all Company policies/procedures and maintains/improves good customer relations by providing quality, timely industrial cleaning services.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Industrial setting – Refinery, Petro-Chemical, Utilities, Pulp and Paper Mills, etc.

• Must be able to wear protective clothing or equipment. This includes, but is not limited to Nomex coveralls, a back belt, slicker suits, rubber boots, a fresh air breathing mask and escape pack and a hard hat.
• Must be able to work under extreme climate conditions (excessive high heat index of 95+ degrees Fahrenheit, humid and subzero weather conditions) relative to geographic location.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces and dealing with heights.
• Must be able to withstand exposure to dust (chemical and environmental), fumes (chemical and fluids), exhaust and highly pressurized fluids.
• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Hands-on operation of manual and automated Hydro blasting equipment.
• Operation of special equipment, such as Ultra High-Pressure pumps.
• Operate equipment by energizing the pumping equipment and/or any specialized Hydro blasting and/or Chemical cleaning equipment, vacuum trucks and cutting equipment being used on the job.
• May be required to examine surface cleaned to ensure conformance to company and customer expectations.
• Conduct routine and required maintenance on the unit and all peripherals, including industrial vacuuming equipment and the disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Perform routine maintenance on company equipment being used on the job.
• Additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent
• Strong Mechanical aptitude
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license preferred.
• Availability to work variable shifts, days, nights, some weekends.
